Realty Executives hosted its 100th 10K breakfast and drawing on Thursday, October 4 at Paradise Valley Country Club. Two lucky REALTORS®, Tom Barry from Keller Williams Lifestyle Realty and Michael Young from Keller Williams Legacy One Realty, each walked away with $5,000 cash.
The Realty Executives 10K Home Program was designed as a fun, creative way to help REALTORS® sell homes quicker, provide a new marketing effort for existing listings and attract new interest and buyers for those listings. This is done by providing a possible bonus incentive to the selling agent who sells any 10K properties. A home becomes a 10K property once the seller of the property agrees to contribute a $250 marketing fee, which funds both the marketing costs of the program and the drawing. Once a 10K property is closed and funded, the selling agent becomes eligible to earn an additional $10,000 commission. A 10K breakfast and drawing occurs each time 48 10K homes are closed and funded.
This unique event marked the 100th drawing to occur here in Phoenix resulting in a grand total of one million dollars given away under this program. Attendees included each of the eligible Realtors or their representatives, staff members from Realty Executives International including Rich Rector, President and CEO, and the Realty Executives listing agents. Rector was master of ceremonies and presented the additional commission dollars to the winners.
After little debate, Barry and Young, the last two contestants left in the reverse-style drawing, decided to split the money in half, and both walked away winners. Other lucky winners included: Rick Padelford, Realty Executives Southeast Valley Office, who received $100 for his name being drawn first, Peggy Schwartz, Realty Executives North Scottsdale, who won the Lucky Lister drawing for $200, and German Reyes, EPL Realty Group LLC, who won a $100 bill which was placed in an envelope under his seat.
