In Honor of Valentine’s Day, Realty Executives to Sponsor “Construction with Love” with Habitat for Humanity Volunteers
WHAT: The Lopez home is the latest success story created through the joint efforts of Habitat for Humanity, Valley of the Sun, and Realty Executives Phoenix, the largest home sponsor for Habitat for Humanity in Arizona.
WHO: The media are invited to join the celebration as the new home in Villas Esperanza enters the drywall hanging phase with the help of friends, family, and the many generous volunteers who helped make this phase possible for the Lopez family. This family of five currently lives in a small 2-bedroom apartment and pays more than one-third of their gross income on housing. Jaime works as a custodian for a local elementary school while Laura cares for their home and children. The Lopez family enjoys being with family and their community.
VISUALS: Get a close-up of “construction with love.” Representatives of Realty Executives and Habitat for Humanity will be happy to point out the highlights of the drywall construction, displaying the craftsmanship and care that goes into this and every home built by Habitat for Humanity, Valley of the Sun, its many volunteers, and the proud homeowners.
WHY: This is a celebration of the construction of a home—the start of a happy, new future for the Lopez family. It’s also a celebration of the community dedication demonstrated by the people of Habitat for Humanity and Realty Executives.
HISTORY: Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun, an independent affiliate of Habit for Humanity International, has been strengthening the Phoenix community by providing home ownership opportunities for low-income working families. They achieve this mission through zero interest mortgages and volunteer labor in partnership with the families. The use of donated materials is also vital, and Realty Executives contributes 100% of the materials to each Habitat for Humanity home built in Arizona.
WHEN: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12th, 2005, 7:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
WHERE: Villas Esperanza, Lot 6037, 15th Avenue just south of Southern Avenue, Phoenix
